Ole Miss running back Henry Parrish Jr. didn’t factor too much into the Rebels’ offensive showcase in the 1st half of Saturday’s game at Arkansas.

But a slow offensive day while quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Jordan Watkins were doing most of the heavy lifting turned into a potential nightmare when the senior running back was seen limping heavily and favoring his left leg late in the first half.

Parrish ran the ball for 3 yards to the Razorbacks’ 3-yard line in the final seconds of the first half, which set up Ole Miss for another touchdown as Dart connected with Watkins for a score for the third time in the second quarter. Parrish was then seen making his way back to the locker room, unable to walk on his own or put much weight on his left leg.

Ole Miss looked to be headed toward an easy road win on Saturday — as the Rebels try to stay in contention for a College Football Playoff spot — but the potential injury to Parrish is something to keep an eye on.

Parrish struggled to gain traction in that first half, running the ball 10 times for just 22 yards.

Running back Matt Jones was dressed and available for the Rebels, and Domonique Thomas was being used heavily on Ole Miss’s first drive of the third quarter with Parrish unavailable.

The Rebels took a 35-10 lead into the second half.
