Sunday night was good to Matt Luke and Ole Miss.
The Rebels received a commitment from 3-star LB Kevontae Ruggs, per 247Sports. The Montgomery, Alabama, native visited Ole Miss this past weekend, and he pulled the trigger shortly thereafter.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect certainly has potential for high upside with his big frame.
“I realized Ole Miss is a great place for me to start my career,” Ruggs told 247Sports. “It seems like it’s a great place to be and the best place for me.”
Ruggs is rated as the nation’s No. 30 OLB and the state of Alabama’s No. 15 overall prospect for the class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Ruggs committed to Ole Miss over offers from Texas A&M, FAU and Troy, among others. He became the fourth linebacker to have committed or signed with Ole Miss in the 2018 recruiting cycle.
