Ole Miss fans dying to watch some Rebel football apparently now know how long they have to wait before they see Jordan Ta’amu and Matt Corral slinging the pigskin around.

According to David Johnson of 247Sports, the 2018 Grove Bowl will be played Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. CT. Ole Miss has since confirmed the April, 7 date of the game.

It will be interesting to see if the spring game is yet another high-flying aerial assault against the defense or if Wesley McGriff’s young defensive unit takes a step forward in 2018. Will the Rebels manage to carry over the momentum earned from winning the Egg Bowl in Starkville last season? Can Corral poise a legitimate challenge to Ta’amu’s firm grip on the starting QB job?

The first sign of any of these answers will come the first weekend in April. Last season’s Grove Bowl was held on Saturday, April 8.
