Ollie Gordon II has shared a public statement addressing his recent arrest.
Over a week ago, Gordon was booked in Cleveland County jail in Oklahoma on charges of DUI under 21 years of age, having an open alcohol container, failure to maintain a single driving lane and speeding. According to reports, Gordon was observed driving 82 mph in a 65 mph zone and swerving through traffic.
During the traffic stop, the officer noted open bottles of vodka and tequila in Gordon’s car. In jail, Gordon provided breath samples that registered .11 and .10 breath alcohol content (BrAC). He was later released on bond.
Gordon was apologetic in his Monday statement, which was shared on his X account.
“I am deeply sorry for the actions that led to my arrest on June 30th. I sincerely apologize to my family, everyone in our program, including our players, Coach (Mike) Gundy, the staff, Oklahoma State University, and our fans,” Gordon’ statement reads.
“Regardless of the outcome of this pending investigation, I did not uphold the values I have for myself and the values of the OSU football program. I am committed to learning and growing from this mistake and I will work to earn back the trust of those who I have disappointed. Thank you.”
