Kesean Bowman is planning to leave SEC country to play in the Big Ten.
Oregon is the winner in the recruiting battle for the 5-star 2027 wide receiver. Bowman announced his commitment to the Ducks on Thursday.
Out of Brentwood (Tennessee) Academy, Bowman is listed as measuring 6-feet and 174 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Bowman is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee, No. 5 wide receiver and No. 23 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
As a ’27 prospect, Bowman is looking at 2 more seasons of high school football before joining Dan Lanning’s program. Even though it’s early in the 2027 cycle, Bowman already had scholarship offers from 37 programs, including Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas.
Going into his big decision, Bowman narrowed his focus to Oregon, Ohio State, Tennessee and LSU.
Bowman pointed to relationships at Oregon, including with future position coach Ross Douglas, as to why he picked the Ducks.
I like Coach Douglas a lot and the coaching staff,” Bowman told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals. “Building a relationship with them is fun. Also, the facilities, the hospitality and the connections I have and relationship I have with Oregon.
Bowman gives Oregon two early commitments in the 2027 class.
