Otaro Alaka will be suiting up for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL when the league returns to play in 2023.

Alaka, a former linebacker at Texas A&M, was on the Baltimore Ravens’ roster for 3 seasons, joining as an undrafted free agent in 2019. The Houston native then turned to the XFL, where he was drafted by Arlington. After “bad luck” with the Ravens, he mentioned being “excited to get it going” with the Renegades.

“I didn’t know much about the XFL,” he told TexAgs Radio on Wednesday. “From what I’ve seen lately, there are a lot of motivated people. It looks like it’s going to be a really good setup.”

Alaka also mentioned the most memorable game he’d ever played at Kyle Field, and unsurprisingly, it was the 7-overtime win over LSU on Nov. 24, 2018 — the last time he’d play in the venue.

“I was talking to Tyrel Dodson, and we were spent. We were empty. It kept going back and forth, and that was the craziest game I’ve ever been a part of,” he said.

The XFL opens play on Feb. 18.
