The Tennessee Volunteers will be down a pair of wide receivers as they open the 2021 season—and the Josh Heupel era—against Bowling Green on Thursday night at Neyland Stadium.

Neither junior Ramel Keyton nor sophomore Jimmy Calloway will be available for the Volunteers as they take on the Falcons. According to the Knoxville News, both are out for “unspecified reasons”.

Keyton made 9 catches for 76 yards as a sophomore in 2020. He saw starts against Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina while playing in a total of 7 games. Calloway played 8 times last year, splitting time at wide receiver while seeing some duty in special teams.

Earlier on Wednesday, linebacker Byron Young was reportedly ruled as ineligible and will also miss the game. The junior college transfer played at Georgia Military College before heading to Knoxville.

Kickoff between the Volunteers and Falcons is set for 8 p.m. ET. The game will be shown on the SEC Network.
