Pat McAfee fakes out Oregon crowd with final pick to close out College GameDay
Pat McAfee went against the home crowd in Eugene as he made his final pick on College GameDay on Saturday morning.
GameDay was on location in Eugene for Oregon’s top-10 matchup with Indiana. McAfee typically goes with the energy of the home fans, but that’s not the decision he made this week. McAfee, who has deep roots in the state of Indiana, is picking the Hoosiers to pull off the upset.
But before he picked IU, McAfee made sure to get the Oregon fans going before pulling the chair out from under them.
“I love Oregon. I love Dan Lanning, I was shirtless with that man this morning,” McAfee said. “But my wife is a Hoosier through and true, and so am I, baby.”
Here’s a clip of McAfee’s pick:
McAfee was the only member of GameDay’s panel to pick the Hoosiers on Saturday. Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban and guest picker Sabrina Ionescu all went with the Ducks.
Both Oregon and Indiana are looking to remain undefeated on the season. Both the Ducks and Hoosiers are hoping to make it back to the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET from Eugene.
