Paul Finebaum has updated his College Football Playoff top 4 going into Week 6 action on Wednesday morning.
Finebaum and Heather Dinich both appeared on Wednesday’s episode of ‘Get Up’ on ESPN. Finebaum’s current top 4 includes Georgia, Ohio State, Florida State and Texas.
Georgia has struggled at times this season, including last week with its narrow road win at Auburn. However, Finebaum is sticking with the 2-time defending national champions.
“I would start with Georgia. I know everybody wants to beat up on them but they’re still No. 1 in my book,” Finebaum said.
The Buckeyes slot in at No. 2 on the strength of their win over Notre Dame back in Week 4.
“Ohio State escaped against Notre Dame,” he said. “They’re still around.”
Florida State lands next on Finebaum’s list after an impressive 4-0 start. The Seminoles have already picked up significant wins away from home vs. LSU and Clemson this season.
“Florida State has such impressive wins at Clemson and against LSU,” Finebaum added.
For Texas, Finebaum pointed to the Longhorns’ signature win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa from earlier this season.
Dinich countered with a similar top 4, but made 1 change. Dinich has Washington — not Ohio State — joining Florida State, Texas and Georgia.
