Days after the Tennessee coach announced that Quay Picou left the team, the senior defensive lineman announced his intentions to transfer:
It’s been a great 3 seasons playing in front of Vol nation. I will cherish the memories for a lifetime. After speaking with my family and lots of prayer I have decided to transfer..Thank you Vol Nation i will always love you. pic.twitter.com/aF4IlG6drf

Picou appeared six games for the Vols over the past two seasons, recording 11 tackles and one fumble recovery. Though he wasn’t projected to start, the loss will hurt Tennessee’s depth after it finished No. 125 against the run in 2017.
The Sugar Hill, Georgia native was the No. 30 defensive tackle in the 2015 class.
Tennessee began spring practice on Tuesday. The spring game is set for April 21.
