Once more unto the breach we go.

There’s a single week left in the SEC season and we’re doing what we always do. Because we get a fair amount of confusion about it, as usual, I am listing each team, their current record, and their predicted final record.

With 1 week left, obviously, no room for guess work. Here’s our final 2025 look around the predictive SEC.

Alabama (9-2, 10-2)

Alabama predictably had no issues in Week 13. While anything can happen, the Iron Bowl looks pretty nigh a gimme to an Alabama team that has done a solid job of taking care of business.

Arkansas (2-9, 2-10)

Arkansas put up points, put up yards, didn’t put up a win. Missouri had enough offensive issues to make the Week 13 meeting interesting, but given how rotten Arkansas’s luck has been, why would it change now?

Auburn (5-6, 5-7)

Auburn got its easy win, but can’t justify picking the Tigers to get that elusive sixth win. Deuce Knight adds an interesting subplot to the week, but the Tide are still the safe Iron Bowl pick.

Florida (3-8, 3-9)

Florida not only lost but lost ugly. Florida State has been awful too, but the Seminoles at least have the possibility of bowl eligibility. Seeing everything that went wrong with Florida’s offense this year, the Gators are probably the disappointment of the league.

Georgia (10-1, 11-1)

Georgia likely has the best situation here. With Tech stumbling late, the Bulldogs should be safe at 11-1. They’ll likely miss out on the SEC title game, which is probably an advantage in the big picture. Georgia is exactly where they’d like to be.

Kentucky (5-6, 5-7)

Kentucky lost the upward momentum that has manifested over the last 3 games. With Louisville spiraling downward, the game next week feels like a pick ’em. At last glance, the Cardinals were a slight home favorite and that feels about right.

LSU (7-4, 7-5)

LSU looked awful on offense against WKU. The Tigers didn’t look like a team that has enough scoring punch to stick around and beat Oklahoma on the road. LSU looked like a team playing out the schedule on Saturday.

Ole Miss (10-1, 11-1)

Ole Miss no doubt had a quiet week. Nothing going on, right? Look, the only question is if all the Kiffin rumors will distract the Rebels from taking care of Egg Bowl business. If not, Ole Miss is fine and will likely miss out on the SEC title game. As long as the coaching situation is solid, the Rebels are in great shape.

Mississippi State (5-6, 5-7)

Mississippi State likely doesn’t mind the insanity of Lane Kiffin rumor week. The Bulldogs have had a competitive season, but they’ll need some help to pull an Egg Bowl win and grab bowl eligibility.

Missouri (7-4, 8-4)

Mizzou didn’t have enough punch to get past Oklahoma, but likely have enough forward momentum to outlast Arkansas to end the season. Will Eli Drinkwitz jump for a bigger job? That’s probably the biggest issue remaining in the season for Missouri.

Oklahoma (9-2, 10-2)

Oklahoma took care of business at home against Missouri and will do it again against LSU. Will 10-2 be good enough for the CFP? Oklahoma is the likely No. 5 SEC team, but will there be 5 SEC teams in the field?

South Carolina (4-7, 4-8)

South Carolina got an easy win in Week 13, but still will be punching up a bit against Clemson in the finale. The Tigers have been the slightly better team down the stretch, so we’ll stick with our prediction of a 4-8 season for USC.

Tennessee (8-3, 9-3)

Tennessee absolutely whipped the Gators, and now has a chance to do something interesting. UT is out of the CFP hunt, but has a chance to officially knock Vandy out of the picture as well. In Knoxville, it looks like UT could nab a shootout over the Commodores.

Texas (8-3, 8-4)

Texas put together a big third quarter to outlast Arkansas. But the Longhorns don’t seem in good shape to take down A&M in the regular season finale. So we’ll stick with an 8-4 finish for UT.

Texas A&M (11-0, 12-0)

The Aggies had an easy week, as was expected. One last test comes up against Texas, but given that Texas A&M has been the most consistent team in the SEC all season, the Aggies feel like a safe pick to win the finale and head to the title game against Alabama.

Vanderbilt (9-2, 9-3)

Vanderbilt absolutely blasted Kentucky to keep alive its CFP hopes for another week. A win over Tennessee wouldn’t be a guarantee, likely because Oklahoma’s 10-2 probably outweighs Vandy’s 10-2. The Commodores likely need the win over Tennessee and an Oklahoma loss to grab a CFP spot… but beating Tennessee in Knoxville (relative recent success aside) is a big ask. The guess is that Vandy’s miracle season ends here.
