The Alabama Crimson Tide are scheduled to take on the Miami Hurricanes in Week 1 of the 2021 college football season.

The game will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Alabama is coming off a season in which it went undefeated and won the national championship. Miami, on the other hand, finished the 2020 season 8-3 with a loss to Oklahoma State in the Liberty Bowl.

But, the Tide lost plenty of talent from last year’s team. So, Pro Football Focus analyst Anthony Treash thinks the Hurricanes could pull off the stunning upset, assuming QB D’Eriq King is healthy:

King, of course, is recovering from a torn ACL, so there’s no guarantee he’ll be at 100% for Week 1. Even if he is, taking down the reigning champs won’t be easy.

Still, college football is a crazy sport where anything can happen. We’ll see what these 2 squads look like heading into their Sept. 4 matchup.
