Pro Football Focus projects 12 SEC stars to go in Round 1 of 2022 NFL Draft

The 2022 NFL Draft is only a few short months away. Players are deciding to opt out of bowl games in order to prepare for the next steps of their careers.

On Monday, Pro Football Focus analyst Trevor Sikkema released his latest Round 1 mock draft. In the first 32 picks, he included 12 SEC stars.

As you can see below, Georgia leads the way with 4 players being chosen. Alabama has 2 stars going in the first round:

  • No. 3 — Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU — Houston Texans
  • No. 4 — Evan Neal, OL, Alabama — New York Jets
  • No. 7 — Charles Cross, OL, Mississippi State — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 13 — Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas — Las Vegas Raiders
  • No. 15 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss — Denver Broncos
  • No. 18 — Darian Kinnard, OL, Kentucky — Baltimore Ravens
  • No. 19 — Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama — New Orleans Saints
  • No. 20 — Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 22 — Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 24 — George Pickens, WR, Georgia — Detroit Lions
  • No. 28 — Devontae Wyatt, DL, Georgia — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 30 — Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia — Dallas Cowboys
