Quinshon Judkins took a shot at his former school when recapping his first game at Ohio State.

Speaking to OSU media on Wednesday, Judkins raved about his first game as a Buckeye.

“A one-of-a-kind experience. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience,” Judkins told reporters. “Super excited. Definitely more fans than I expected, so it’s super fun.”

Judkins didn’t leave it at being more fans. He brought up the numbers.

“Over 100,000 (fans),” Judkins said of the Ohio State-Akron attendance. “Being at Ole Miss, I only got to see that at away games.”

There is indeed a significant difference in venue capacity between Ohio Stadium and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Official attendance on Saturday in The Shoe was 102,011. The attendance record at The Vaught is 66,703, set on Sept. 30, 2023.

But, of course, Judkins did not have to bring up Ole Miss when gushing over Ohio State’s crowd size. There are hard feelings in Ole Miss over the reasons and way Judkins departed for Ohio State, and mentioning that he only saw 6-figure crowd sizes playing away from home comes off as a shot at his old team.

On the field, Judkins was OSU’s leader in carries with 13 for 55 yards and 1 touchdown. TreVeyon Henderson was OSU’s leader in rushing yards with 65 on 8 carries. Freshman James People also logged 6 carries for 30 yards.

Judkins could cross paths with his former team in the postseason. Ohio State and Ole Miss are popular picks to make the College Football Playoff. Both teams are aiming for first-round byes as conference champions. If the Buckeyes and Rebels meet, Judkins’ comments are sure to be brought up.
