R Mason Thomas is one of the best defensive players in college football, and he has made many plays this year preventing opponents from scoring touchdowns. However, on Saturday night, Thomas the guy with the ball in his hands heading to the end zone after picking up a fumble.

He delivered a vicious stiff arm on Tennessee tight end Miles Kitselman en route to the 71-yard touchdown return to tie the game up with the Vols.

However, it wasn’t all good for Thomas, as ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe said that he was being evaluated for a hamstring injury after the play. He entered the game with 5.5 sacks on the season, and is one of the elite pass rushers in all of college football.

The game between Oklahoma and Tennessee is huge when it comes to the College Football Playoff. The winner of this game still has a legitimate chance of making it to the CFP, while the loser is all but eliminated from contention.

For Sooners fans, the focus is on whether or not Thomas is able to come back and not let the injury hamper him. As he has shown early in this game, he is more than capable of producing a game-changing play.
