Rapid Reaction: Alabama crushes Wisconsin behind big games from Ty Simpson, Ryan Williams
Alabama defeated Wisconsin 38-14 in convincing fashion on Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.
It marks Alabama’s first power-conference victory of the year and represents a second consecutive blowout victory over the Badgers. Last year in Madison, Alabama won with a similar score line — 42-10.
Quarterback Ty Simpson had arguably the best game of his career. He threw for 382 yards and 4 touchdowns on just 29 pass attempts in the win over Wisconsin. He completed 13 of 14 pass attempts in the first half as well.
Ryan Williams also enjoyed his best performance of the season. He caught 5 passes for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 75-yard reverse flea flicker touchdown to open up the second half.
Alabama safety Bray Hubbard was the player of the game on that end of the field. He picked off 2 passes, including one in the second half that ended virtually all chance at a Wisconsin comeback.
