It was never really a contest.
The only time Louisiana really put a scare into the Mizzou Tigers on Saturday at Faurot Field was in the first quarter when it appeared for a second that the Ragin’ Cajuns had a fumble return for a touchdown.
Upon review, though, the Missouri receiver had broken the plane of the end zone. Mizzou 14, Louisiana 0.
Things just got worse for Louisiana from there. By the time the final whistles blew, the Tigers had a dominant 52-10 victory.
It was another incredible outing for QB Beau Pribula, who amassed 174 yards and 2 touchdowns as a passer and ran for 5 yards and another score. But RB Ahmad Hardy stole the show, running for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Backup RB Jamal Roberts added 46 yards, while third-stringer Marquise Davis ran 20 times for 113 yards and a score while playing most of the second half.
The Tigers improved to 3-0 with the win and will likely rise a couple of spots in the AP Poll on Sunday. Next week, Mizzou welcomes South Carolina to town.
