Former Auburn center Casey Dunn is looking for a new NFL home.
The Washington Redskins announced they had released Dunn with an injury designation tag, along with OL Tyler Catalina. Washington also announced it had signed o-linemen Donald Penn and Hugh Thornton. If Dunn goes unclaimed on the waiver wire, he’ll revert to Washington’s injury reserve.
Prior to joining Auburn, Dunn played for Jacksonville State for three seasons where he was a two-year starter. He then became a graduate transfer to Auburn in 2017 for his senior year.
Following his senior season at Auburn, Dunn went undrafted. He received a tryout with the Redskins and made the squad — not the 53-man roster. However, concerns over his lack of size were still prevalent, and he spent time on the practice roster.
Still, some within the Redskins organization were hopeful that Dunn could bulk up and join the two-deep.
