An update is expected to come on Arkansas Rawleigh Williams III, but it may not be final word on the running back’s status.
Tom Murphy of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette appeared on “The Paul Finebaum Show” Wednesday to discuss Williams, who was carted off the field Saturday during the Razorbacks spring game after suffering a “neurological event.”

Murphy was on the show to discuss his Tuesday article which cited a source saying the Williams family, Arkansas football staff and Fayetteville medical team will meet to discuss Williams’ football future. In 2015, Williams had his season cut short due to a neck injury. In 2016, he was the Hogs’ leading rusher (245 carries, 1,360 yards, 12 touchdowns).
Williams tweeted on Sunday, thanking fans for support and asking for prayers.
I really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and ask that you continue to pray for my family and I. God Bless! #WooPig

On Monday, he retweeted a Leonard Fournette post which read, “Dark times teach you a lot, that’s why you can’t regret what you went through, but rather be thankful for all the lessons it taught you…..”
