In the college basketball world, preseason tournaments are usually played in warm locations — Florida, Myrtle Beach, Arizona, Hawaii, the Bahamas, etc.

However, with the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting day-t0-day life, these preseason tourneys are having to make some major changes.

On Monday, college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported that the annual Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, which is usually held in the Bahamas, will instead take place at the Sanford Pentagon in South Dakota:

Texas A&M is part of the field of 8 teams, along with Duke, Creighton, West Virginia, Memphis, Ohio State, Utah and Wichita State.

The tournament is expected to be held in late-November. Obviously, that time of year is much more desirable in the Bahamas than it is in South Dakota.
