This could be big news on the Georgia recruiting front.
The Bulldogs have been getting a ton of positive news lately when it comes to recruiting. Just Thursday night, they picked up one of the nation’s elite outside linebackers.
Unfortunately, this is not positive news.
Elite dual-threat quarterback Justin Fields, who is committed to UGA for the class of 2018, has reportedly fractured his right index finger.
It happened during a high school game on Thursday night — one which Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart attended.
And that happens to be on his throwing hand, as Rivals recruiting analyst Chad Simmons reported Thursday on Twitter:

Fields, who is a consensus 5-star prospect out of Kennesaw, Ga. (Harrison High School), is rated as the nation’s No. 1 overall player, according to the 247Sports Composite.
He just committed to the ‘Dawgs on Oct. 6.
