This isn’t the news anyone wants to hear.
Former Alabama standout golfer Bud Cauley is currently in the hospital with serious injuries following a car accident in Dublin, Ohio, according to the Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis. According to Lewis, Cauley was a passenger in the wreck, and he suffered five broken ribs, a fractured lower leg and a collapsed right lung.
At this time, it’s uncertain how long Cauley will be hospitalized.
Cauley became one of the best golfer’s in Alabama program history. He became a three-time first-team Golfweek All-American during his three years in Tuscaloosa, including being named the SEC’s Freshman of the Year in 2009. Cauley beat Rickie Fowler, who was the world’s No. 1 amateur in 2009, in the first round of match play.
He turned pro after just three years at Alabama, and he’s posted over $7 million in career earnings.
