Xavian Marks was a senior for Alabama last year, but according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, Marks entered the NCAA transfer portal Thursday attempting to gain another season of eligibility.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native played every season he was on Alabama’s team (2015-18), and it’ll be interesting see if the NCAA grants him another year of eligibility.
Most recently in 2018, Marks played in eight games for Alabama at receiver and in the return game. As a junior in 2017, Marks returned 11 punts for 82 yards.
Freshman Jaylen Waddle took over those duties in 2018 for the Tide and was a threat to score every time he touched the football.
The 5-foot-8, 175-pound Marks was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2015 and was ranked as the nation’s No. 33 all-purpose back and the state of Texas’ No. 226 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
