After a disappointing 2015 season with the St. Louis Rams, former Auburn DL Nick Fairley went to the New Orleans Saints for the 2016 campaign and revitalized his career.
Fairley, an Alabama native, recorded 6.5 sacks and 43 tackles — both career highs — during his year with the Saints.
Now, on the first day of NFL free agency, the Saints have decided to keep the ex-Auburn star around, according to The Advocate.
According to the report, Fairley will sign a four-year deal worth around $30 million to stay in New Orleans.
In his six-year NFL career, Fairley has recorded 20.5 total sacks and 170 tackles.
