Former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips is returning to college football as an advanced scout at Ohio State, a story first reported by WKYT CBS Lexington and confirmed by Ohio State.

Phillips, who coached at Kentucky from 2010-2012 (13-24), was an assistant with the Cleveland Browns last season. His previous college coaching gig was on Will Muschamp’s staff at Florida as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator for the 2013 season. He resigned in 2014 prior to the season after committing a recruiting violation involving a “bump” with a prospect during a dead period.

Unfortunately, since Phillips is not on staff as an assistant coach, it appears unlikely we will see a revival of #ComePlayWRForTheJoker recruiting graphics.
