Auburn is set to host former USC Trojans WR Velus Jones Jr. this weekend, per a report by 247Sports’ Keith Niebuhr.

Jones is originally from Saraland, Alabama, but he signed with USC out of high school in the class of 2016. He was rated a 3-star prospect and was ranked as the nation’s No. 79 WR and the state of Alabama’s No. 16 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The rising redshirt junior has played in 26 games the last two seasons, making 30 catches for 312 yards and one TD. He’s also a weapon on special teams having tallied 52 kickoff returns for 1,243 yards. He entered the NCAA transfer portal this year.

The 6-foot, 190-pound pass catcher is coming off his most productive season at USC, and he’d be a nice fit at Auburn.

Jones would have two years of eligibility remaining.
