Gus Malzahn hiring former Auburn assistant, longtime friend, to his UCF staff

A couple of familiar names are already heading to UCF to join Gus Malzahn’s staff in Orlando.
On Thursday, a former Auburn assistant was hired to coach the Knights’ offensive line in 2021 and beyond.
Per a report from Brandon Marcello of 247Sports, Malzahn is bringing in Herb Hand as his offensive line coach. Malzahn later confirmed the hire of Hand.
Hand coached Auburn’s offensive line under Malzahn in 2016 and 2017 before heading to Texas to join Tom Herman’s Longhorns staff. He was hired by Charlotte this offseason, but it seems he’ll instead reunite with Malzahn at UCF.
Will we see any more Auburn staffers heading to Orlando? Malzahn is still in the early stages of putting together his staff, so it’s entirely possible.
