It’s approaching midnight on the East Coast, and things are getting crazier as National Signing Day approaches.

Just hours from backing off his pledge to LSU, three-star wide receiver Da’Monte Coxie recommitted to the Tigers Tuesday night, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.

“I was just needing time to clear my head,” Coxie told The Advocate. “I had some mixed emotions.”

He added that he knows he needs to focus on his grades, because he’s an academic risk for the Tigers. Dellenger reports that Coxie won’t sign Wednesday.

Coxie originally committed to LSU in July. He’s rated as the No. 92 receiver in the class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
