Kentucky is reportedly bringing in some help to work with the offensive line after coach John Schlarman’s recent passing. According to Wildcats insider Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio’s sources, Jeff Jagodzinski, a coaching veteran at the college and pro levels, will join Mark Stoops’ staff for the rest of the year to help coach the offensive line.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced Jagodzinski, 57, was joining the Warhawks staff in August. UWW’s announcement noted Jagodzinski’s career highlights, including professional stints as an assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers (1999-2003, 2006), Atlanta Falcons (2004-05) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009), and stops at Northern Illinois, LSU and Boston College. Prior to UWW, he had coached with the XFL’s Dallas Renegades as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

After serving as offensive coordinator for the Packers in 2006, Jagodzinski was named head coach at Boston College.

As head coach at Boston College in 2007 and 2008, Jagodzinski led the Eagles to consecutive appearances in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship Game and a 20-8 record. The 2007 team, led by future NFL star quarterback Matt Ryan, won the Citrus Bowl and finished with an 11-2 record, the most wins at BC since 1940. The 2008 team finished 9-5 with three shutout victories.

Following one year as offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jagodzinski served as head coach of the United Football League’s Omaha Nighthawks in 2010.

Jagodzinski served as offensive coordinator at Georgia State from 2013-15. The Panthers ranked 25th in the nation in passing offense in 2014 and rose to ninth in 2015. The team garnered 12 offensive all-conference honors and produced two NFL players during his tenure.
