This isn’t the type of news Mark Stoops wants to wake up to this summer as his program is hard at work attempting to breakthrough the seven-win plateau heading into the 2018 season.

According to WKYT CBS in Lexington, rising junior defensive back Marcus Walker has been arrested for drug trafficking. He has been charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine. Walker has also been charged with possessing drug paraphernalia. He is currently still in the Lexington jail and has not been given bond, according to WKYT.

Walker was a regular contributor for the Wildcats last season, appearing in 12 of 13 games. As a freshman, he appeared in nine games for the team. He is a native of Lake Wales, Fla. and signed with Kentucky as a member of ESPN’s Top 300 in the 2015 recruiting class.
