The SEC has announced Kentucky is headed to Nashville to play in the Music City Bowl.

The Tennessee was the first to break the news, Kentucky (7-5) will play Big Ten opponent Northwestern (9-3) in the Music City Bowl.

The game will be played on Friday, December 29, and it will kick off at 4:30 pm ET in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.

Last year, Kentucky lost to Georgia Tech 33-18 in the TaxSlayer Bowl, but this should be a better matchup for the Cats.

Northwestern’s team is mainly built on defense, and QB play has been an issue all season. Kentucky started off hot at 5-1 before finishing with five losses, losing the last two games against Georgia and Louisville.
