LSU true freshman offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell was arrested in Atlanta early Sunday morning, leading to his suspension from the team, according to reports.

FOX 8 New Orleans’ Garland Gillen first reported the news of Campbell’s arrest. He was arrested on two counts of battery on Georgia Tech’s campus, where his brother Christian plays football.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette later confirmed Campbell’s suspension.

Campbell was rated as a 4-star offensive lineman coming out of high school. The Ponchatoula, Louisiana, native had played sparingly this season and was spotted in a walking boot during the Tigers’ win against Ole Miss on Oct. 22.
