In normal seasons, the NBA Draft is held in June. This year, it has been pushed back to Oct. 16 as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, it appears the draft might be delayed once again, according to reports that surfaced on Wednesday.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA is potentially considering moving the draft back another month, with plans to have it on Nov. 18:
The league has informed teams of a potential revised 2020 NBA Draft date of November 18, sources tell ESPN. The NBA and NBPA have been negotiating on that new date.

As Woj mentions, the NBA and the players association have been negotiating about the new date, but it remains to be seen what the final decision will be.
We’ll see how this impacts the start of the 2021-22 season, free agency and other items on the NBA calendar moving forward.
