The Big Ten made the decision a few weeks ago to postpone the fall football season until at least 2021.
Now, though, amid mounting pressure from fans, players, coaches, politicians and even the president, it seems the league could possibly reconsider its decision.
On Thursday, Ohio State coach Ryan Day took to Twitter to issue a strong statement, saying the Big Ten medical subcommittee’s plans could have the conference returning by mid-October:

Of course, there are still many hurdles to overcome before a return to the field is possible. But, the pressure is building on commissioner Kevin Warren to at least have more open and honest conversations with league members.
This will certainly be a story to watch moving forward.
