Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks are off this week, and return to action next week against Auburn.

The defensive secondary has been a cause for concern for much of the season, between injuries and poor play. Hudson Clark, who has moved to safety, needs to be flexible, the coach said.

“To be honest with you, I think he’s going to have to play both throughout the remainder of the season. I think he can. But he has to be available to play corner as well,” Pittman said.

The major injury in the secondary came early in the season when Jalen Catalon suffered another season-ending shoulder injury. Pittman was asked on the SEC coaches media teleconference about Catalon’s future at Arkansas.

“I don’t really know. I don’t think he’s decided what he wants to do yet,” Pittman said.

Another injury also shook up the running back depth chart, but now Dominique Johnson is on his way back.

“He’s 100%,” Pittman said. “It’s just a situation where while he was out, the other guys got better. We’re confident in Dominique, but right now he’s in a depth chart battle.”
