Savion Hiter, one of the top high school running backs in the country, has narrowed down his recruitment.

Hiter is one of the very best high school recruits in the country, regardless of class or position. He’s the No. 9 overall player and the No. 1 running back in the nation for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also recorded as the No. 1 player from the state of Virginia.

Hiter has already made trips to Athens and Knoxville during his recruitment. He visited all 4 of his finalists during the month of June, but he also made multiple unofficial visits to Tennessee this spring.

Hiter is listed at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds. He attends Louisa County High School in Mineral, Virginia.

Tennessee’s 2026 recruiting class is headlined by 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon. If Hiter commits to the Vols, it would give them two top-10 prospects in the country for the 2026 cycle.

Georgia is also in the midst of building an elite recruiting class in 2026. The Bulldogs have 30 commitments already and own the No. 1-ranked class in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
