Alabama has had a busy offseason in terms of announcing marquee non-conference games against Notre Dame and Texas. Following recent comments from Nebraska coach Scott Frost, the matchup many Crimson Tide fans may want to see most is a series against the Cornhuskers.

During a recent interview with KETV in Omaha, Frost was asked to respond to Nick Saban’s comments regarding UCF’s championship claims. While Frost has gone on the record as saying he would not have publicly supported UCF’s title claims to the degree the school is had he stayed in Orlando, he does seem to take some exception to Saban’s take on the subject.

If you missed them, here’s what Saban had to say:

“If you honor and respect the system that we have, (despite) some of the imperfections that you understand that the system has, then you wouldn’t do something out of respect for the system that we have,” Saban said according to George Schroeder of USA TODAY Sports. “I guess anybody has the prerogative to claim anything. But self-proclaimed is not the same as actually earning it. And there’s probably a significant number of people who don’t respect people who make self-proclaimed sort of accolades for themselves.”

And here’s Frost’s response:

“Alabama probably has one or two championships that they claim that weren’t necessarily recognized by everybody.”

Here is a video of the interview segment:
