SEC Bowl Projections: 11 teams projected to make postseason by CBS Sports

It’s that time again!

Everyone is dropping their college football bowl projections for the 2021 season, and CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm is the latest media member to release his predictions.

CBS Sports has 11 SEC teams making a bowl game this season, with three being left out: Arkansas, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Palm projects Alabama to make it to the College Football Playoff once again, as the Tide are predicted to face off against future SEC foe Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Clemson and Ohio State are also projected to round out the Playoff field.

Georgia, Texas A&M and LSU are all projected to make a New Year’s Six Bowl game, too.

Below are CBS Sports preseason bowl projections:

College Football Playoff

Orange Bowl: 1 Alabama vs. 4 Oklahoma
Cotton Bowl: 2 Clemson vs. 3 Ohio State

Selection Committee Bowl Games

Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Iowa State
Fiesta Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Cincinnati
Peach Bowl: LSU vs. Notre Dame

Other Bowl Games

Texas Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Oklahoma State
Citrus Bowl: Florida vs. Iowa
Outback Bowl: Kentucky vs. Penn State
Gator Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Miami
Music City Bowl: Missouri vs. Michigan
Duke’s Mayo Bowl: Auburn vs. NC State
Liberty Bowl: Tennessee vs. TCU

Projected to miss a bowl: Arkansas, South Carolina and Vanderbilt
