Every week, ESPN analyst and College GameDay host Kirk Herbstreit selects five teams and five players that impressed him the most.

Following a strong and exciting Week 2 for the SEC, the league landed a pair of representatives on each list.

Kentucky clocked in as the top team for its 27-16 win at then-No. 25 Florida that snapped the program’s 31-game losing streak in the series. No. 16 Mississippi State rounded out the top five for its dominant 31-10 win at Kansas State.

The SEC almost produced Herbstreit’s top player, as well. After throwing for 430 yards and three scores in a near-upset of No. 2 Clemson, Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond checked in at second overall.

Fourth among players was Mississippi State running back Kylin Hill, who was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week by virtue of his 211 rushing yards and three total touchdowns against Kansas State.
