Young will look to repeat after a 2021 season in which he had 43 passing touchdowns and only 4 interceptions when he received the Heisman Trophy. The Tide are trying to win the award for the third season after Alabama became the sixth school to win the award in back-to-back seasons. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith won it 2 years ago.
Young has a tall task to try and top last year’s numbers, including the 43 touchdowns which was a program record, along with 4,872 passing yards.
