The 2023 college football season will be over before we know it. We’ve entered the final month of the regular season, and there’s plenty of drama surrounding the top teams.

The College Football Playoff selection committee’s first rankings of the season featured a top 4 of Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan and Florida State. ESPN’s staff writers have weighed in on the post-Week 10 top 4.

Georgia is No. 1 in ESPN’s power rankings after defeating Mizzou 30-21 to improve to 9-0. The ESPN rankings have No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 Ohio State following UGA.

With Michigan and Ohio State set to meet in The Game, there’s plenty of interest in the teams immediately outside the top 4. Alabama and Ole Miss are Nos. 8 and 9 in the ESPN power rankings, behind Washington, Oregon and Texas.

The Tide and Rebels each have 2 remaining regular-season conference contests. UA wins the SEC West with a victory against Kentucky or Auburn.

Outside the top 10, 3 more SEC squads are in the top 25 of ESPN’s power rankings. Mizzou and Tennessee, a pair of 2-loss squads set to meet in Week 11, are currently in the top 15. LSU, after picking up a 3rd loss, checks in at No. 21 to give the SEC 6 teams.

Here’s how the 6 SEC teams stack up in the ESPN power rankings:

  • No. 1 Georgia
  • No. 8 Alabama
  • No. 9 Ole Miss
  • No. 13 Mizzou
  • No. 15 Tennessee
  • No. 21 LSU
