SEC baseball is just around the corner, and the NCBWA has announced its preseason All-America team. Unsurprisingly, the list was full of conference players — 8 in all.

LSU first baseman Jared Jones, Texas shortstop Jalen Flores, Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette and pitcher Ryan Prager, Vanderbilt designated hitter Mike Mancini, Mississippi State utility man Noah Sullivan, Georgia reliever Bryan Curley, and Tennessee reliever Nate Snead received honors.

The SEC also saw a number of players on the second and third teams — 8 second-teamers and 9 third-teamers in total.

The full preseason All-America list can be found here.

Tennessee comes into 2025 as the defending national champion — the first title in program history — topping Texas A&M in the College World Series best-of-3 final. The Aggies are No. 1 in the preseason rankings, with LSU at No. 3, Tennessee at No. 4, and Arkansas at No. 5. Georgia (No. 8) and Florida (No. 10) also placed in the top 10.

While there’s some discussion about where the SEC lands among college basketball conferences, there’s no doubting its standing in the college baseball world: it’s won the last 5 College World Series and 7 of the last 10 overall. Will that streak extend to 6 in a row and 8 of the last 11 this spring in Omaha?
