Hoover, Ala. — The SEC is taking Media Days on the road once again.

SEC Media Days is back in Hoover this year after taking the event to Atlanta for the 2018 edition but will be hitting the road once again in 2020 and 2021, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced on Monday.

Sankey opened the 2019 SEC Media Day festivities from Hoover inside the main ballroom of the Wynfrey Hotel and revealed that the next league’s next Media Days event will be taking place in Atlanta.

Before moving the event to Atlanta in 2018, the SEC has held its annual Media Days event from Hoover’s Wynfrey Hotel dating back to 2001. The four-day event reportedly brings in $1 million of total revenue to the Hoover area, according to AL.com.

The SEC’s Media Day event from Atlanta was held at the College Football Hall of Fame and the league held a fan day open to all spectators leading up to last year’s event. Perhaps a similar setup will be coming in 2020. Considering the change of scenery for the 2021 edition, don’t be surprised if the league does something similar in Nashville for the 2021 SEC Media Day event.
