The SEC Nation crew of Tim Tebow, Jordan Rodgers, Roman Harper, Laura Rutledge and Paul Finebaum discussed the Southeastern Conference’s top quarterbacks through Week 5 – with plenty of disagreement about who should be atop the list.

“If we are talking about every single week, I believe it has to be (Vanderbilt quarterback) Diego Pavia,” Tebow said. “Their offense is by far the most efficient in the entire country. You could say they haven’t played the same competition, but who he has gotten to play he has dominated. He has done it in every single way – throwing, running and with his leadership. He makes everyone around him better, and that’s the most important thing a quarterback can do.”

Rodgers agreed with Pavia’s efficiency but countered that Alabama’s Ty Simpson is his favorite.

“Everyone focuses on Week 1 against Florida State, but that was his first career start. Since that point, he has completed almost 90 percent of his passes… Since that point, he has been phenomenal.”

Harper agreed.

“You can literally take Ty Simpson and put him in any other offense in the SEC and he would be successful,” Harper said. “He is playing out of his mind.”

Finebaum, ever the contrarian, said Ole Miss signal-caller Trinidad Chambliss is his choice.

“He has come out of nowhere, and what he did last week was the difference (against LSU),” Finebaum said.
