SEC Nation harkened back to the 1980s on Saturday morning with former Oklahoma linebacker and part-time actor Brian Bosworth joining the crew to make pregame picks.

Bosworth, 60, looked lean but not mean on set with hosts Laura Rutledge, Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Tim Tebow live from Norman – where No. 11 Oklahoma is set to take on No. 22 Auburn (3:30 pm ET, ABC).

“This is home for me,” Bosworth said while taking in the landscape amid warm applause. “Coming back, it is always the warmest, the nicest, the kindest fans in all of college football. When other teams and their fans come here, we host a great party. And when they leave, they are befuddled saying ‘I wanted to hate them, but I loved them’.”

Bosworth then went on to praise Oklahoma offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and the job Sooners quarterback John Mateer have done so far in 2025.

“Ben Arbuckle and John Mateer have brought a calmness to the chaos on offense. But I am more impressed with what Brent Venables has done with the defense. He has gone over and is in charge of the defense, and you can see his imprint on them. … Look for some special packages to welcome (former Sooners and current Auburn quarterback) Jackson Arnold home.”

Harper, Rodgers, Tebow and Finebaum all picked the Sooners to win. Not surprisingly, The Boz also went with his alma mater to earn the victory as well.

“We know Jackson Arnold. We know him well. We know what makes him work, and what makes him break,” Bosworth said. “Our defense is gonna dominate the Auburn offense. We are going to take the Tigers and tuck their tails back for them and send them back to Auburn.”
