SEC Nation will be headed to Athens on Nov. 5 for what could be one of the biggest games of the year in college football, much less the SEC.
The program will be on hand in the Classic City before Georgia hosts Tennessee at Sanford Stadium. Both programs are currently undefeated with the Bulldogs ranked No. 1 and the Volunteers No. 3 headed into Saturday’s games against Florida and Kentucky, respectively.
Not only will the game be a Top 3 contest if both teams take care of business in Week 9, but it could very well decide the SEC East. Georgia is looking for its 5th appearance in the SEC Championship Game in 6 years. Tennessee hasn’t won the division since 2007.
There’s a possibility that ESPN’s College GameDay could be on-site in Athens as well in anticipation for the showdown. That would be a repeat of what happened in Knoxville on Oct. 15 ahead of Tennessee’s game vs. Alabama at Neyland Stadium.
