SEC Network analysts Chris Doering and Gene Chizik weekly update their top six rankings ahead of the College Football Playoff reveal on Tuesday on the “SEC Now” show at the end of the night.
They did again following Rivalry Week and agreed on the top six teams, but disagreed on the order of the ranking.
Clemson, fresh off of a 34-10 win at South Carolina, was No. 1 in Doering’s mind, while Chizik had Oklahoma in his top spot following a 59-31 win over visiting West Virginia.
They both agree that Auburn is in the top four, especially if the Tigers continue their momentum this week with a second win over Georgia this season. Wisconsin, though, after a 31-0 win over Minnesota appears the only hope for the Big 10 with an undefeated record even with a schedule that’s drawn criticism for being soft.
