Halloween was already a special day in the Burns household, now it’s arrived at a new level.
SEC Network host Peter Burns on Thursday announced the birth of his second child born on Halloween, a boy named Thomas James Burns. He arrived at 2:45 a.m. and was seven pounds and 12 ounces.
“He’s named after my best friend and the greatest father I could have ever known who adopted me and raised me to be the man I am today,” Burns tweeted.
Burns and his wife had a daughter born on Oct. 31, 2017, Beaux Victoria Burns.
Burns said these children are especially meaningful to him because he was adopted as a child. He added this tweet also Thursday: “So quick story…. 2 years ago, my life changed forever. Our daughter Beaux was born on Halloween. Being adopted, she was the first person I had ever met that I was related to. I was always pulling for a Halloween baby….thought it would such a cool day for a birthday.”
Last year, ESPN announced that Burns agreed to a multi-year extension to continue to host studio programming on SEC Network, including its flagship news show, SEC Now.
C’mon….I’m kidding.
