Former Alabama LB Terrell Lewis has the first interception of the 2022 NFL season.

Lewis’ Los Angeles Rams, the defending Super Bowl champs, are taking on the Buffalo Bills. In the first quarter, Bills QB Josh Allen threw a pass to former Georgia WR Isaiah McKenzie. Lewis and McKenzie fought for the ball, with the former Crimson Tide defender emerging with it, securing the turnover.

Lewis has been with the Rams since 2020, when they selected him No. 84 overall in the NFL Draft. Entering 2022, Lewis has played in 19 games, including 4 starts in the 2022 season, for Los Angeles.

Lewis has recorded 27 tackles, 5 sacks and 7 QB hits. Thursday’s interception was the first pick of his professional career.

Despite the turnovers, Lewis’ Rams are down 10-0 to the Bills. The game is airing on NBC.
