After a wild Week 6 in the college football season, ESPN has released its updated power rankings. 10 SEC teams made the list, and 8 of them are in the top 15.

Here’s where every SEC team is ranked in the top-15 this week:

  • 4. Ole Miss
  • 5. Texas A&M
  • 6. Oklahoma
  • 9. Alabama
  • 10. Georgia
  • 11. Tennessee
  • 13. LSU
  • 14. Mizzou

While Missouri did not play a game this weekend, due to losses from other teams, Missouri moved up 2 spots from No. 16.

Moving up just one spot, we have the LSU Tigers at No. 13. LSU was also on a bye this week and moved up 4 spots from its ranking last week of No. 17. The Tigers are averaging 4.2 yards per carry, not including sacks, and are relying heavily on quarterback Garrett Nussmeier to get the offense going. They’ll host South Carolina this weekend and will look to get the ground game going along with the rest of their offense.

Tennessee was also on a bye this week but found itself moving up from last week’s ranking of No. 13. Quarterback Joey Aguilar has been great for Tennessee so far this season, totaling 1,459 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions through 5 games. Aguilar has had 3 games in a row with at least 1 interception. He will look to break that streak this upcoming weekend as Tennessee hosts Arkansas.

Georgia is coming off a 35-14 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats, but it continues to be a victim of the injury bug. Left tackle Monroe Freeling went down with a left injury in the game against Kentucky. The Bulldogs have used a different starting lineup on their offensive line in each of their games so far this season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide come in at No. 9 in ESPN’s updated power rankings. The Alabama offense looked unstoppable in its 30-14 win over Vanderbilt. Quarterback Ty Simpson threw for 340 yards, and running back Jam Miller rushed for 136 yards. Head coach Kalen DeBoer has this offense firing on all cylinders, and they’ll look to keep that going as they go on the road to face Missouri this weekend.

At No. 6 are the Oklahoma Sooners. The Sooners’ biggest question mark is the health of quarterback John Mateer. Mateer remains sidelined with a right-hand injury, and while Oklahoma rolled over Kent State this weekend, 44-0, the Red River Rivalry awaits them this upcoming weekend. Texas will be hungry for a Power 4 win, and Oklahoma will most likely be without its starting quarterback.

Texas A&M is the No. 5 team in ESPN’s updated rankings. After a dominant 31-9 win over Mississippi State, the Aggies will turn their attention to the Florida Gators. Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed has been great so far this season. Reed has thrown 1 interception in each of the Aggies’ past 3 games. He will look to change that this weekend with a turnover-free game against the Gators.

The top SEC team on the list is Ole Miss at No. 4. The Rebels have seemed to find their quarterback in Trinidad Chambliss. Since he took over the starting role, the Rebels have looked unbeatable, and the offense continues to shine. The Rebels were on a bye this weekend and will face Washington State this upcoming weekend before they go on the road to face Georgia and Oklahoma in back-to-back weeks.
